"I think with the heart, smile through the eyes, unravel the mind and give hope to those feeling hopeless."
Hi, I'm Danika

“My character is meticulous, sensitive and colourful, and I experience the world through feeling. I utilise the expressive nature of art to portray these emotional realities. I use a range of colour and symbolism to bring these experiences to life. Mesmerised and fascinated by the sky in all it's glory - the colours, the clouds, the stars, the moon and the wider cosmos - you can see reflections of this in my work. The use of the earth within my work shows how my world feels. Motivated by a desire to give hope and insight to others, I share my deeply personal work, inspired by my own mental health challenges and spiritual growth, with the hope that people will connect and resonate with it, or find new meaning.

I moved to Brighton in 2010 to study Product Design at university. I've since moved away from the corporate world of design and back to my childhood, natural roots of painting. There has been many dark days along the way, but many blessings. I wouldn't change the path I've walked; I see all experiences as being a gift, as they have led to the creation of my most cherished pieces of artwork and a deeper level of existence. I use my relationship with the mind as my artistic inspiration.

My main aspiration is to spread a message that a fulfilling life can still be led regardless of extreme emotional states.”
